After receiving several U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and Australia's Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) registrations, Medacta has obtained multiple CE markings and expanded its indications in arthroscopic knee, shoulder, and hip surgery. The recent registrations[1], together with previously cleared products, allow Medacta to cover most procedures for reconstructive ligament surgery, and for the treatment in shoulder and hip ligament refixation and reconstructive surgery.
A RICH PORTFOLIO OF DIFFERENT RE-USABLE AND SINGLE-USE INSTRUMENTS FACILITATES KNEE SURGERIES
In order to facilitate ACL reconstructive surgery, Medacta is now able to offer an extensive portfolio of extra-articular (two adjustable and fixed button designs) and close to the joint-line fixation options with the
MectaScrew Interference Screw Family portfolio with multiple material options: in a non-absorbable PEEK, absorbable or composite configuration. A rich portfolio of different reusable and single-use instruments facilitates knee surgeries. Medacta not only offers a standard instrument portfolio, but also innovative solutions for Quadriceps Tendon harvesting procedures (MectaQTH) and innovative coated guide pin designs which will potentially reduce metal flaking and metal debris. “

NEW ANCHOR DESIGNS FOR SHOULDER AND HIP SURGERIES
In its suture anchor portfolio, Medacta is heavily expanding its material, sizing and indication offerings. With the
MectaLock Suture Anchor Family, Medacta is now able to provide a non-absorbable PEEK and a new composite material offering. Different anchor sizes are available, from knotted anchor designs for arthroscopic shoulder and hip labral repair to knotless options for shoulder lateral row cuff repair. For surgeons who prefer soft anchor designs or are looking for solutions for the medial row repair, Medacta offers two different knotted All-Suture Anchor designs with MectaLock All-Suture and SnugFit All-Suture. To facilitate suture management in arthroscopic labral and rotator cuff repairs, the comprehensive Medacta FastShuttle Suture Passer Family is also able to supply multiple state-of-the-art single-use and reusable instruments to ease arthroscopic shoulder and hip surgeries.
